Aarenet Carrier Systems pervade all requirements of professional voice products in outstanding quality and high availability. Each system is custom built and configured according to the technical, administrational and local regulatory requirements.
An Aarenet Carrier System consists of the Aarenet Core System (anSwitch), a Firewall or a Session Border Controller (SBC) and auxiliary devices such as a provisioning system or UCC system. The connection to the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) is realised over SIP trunks or SS7 gateways. The customer premise equipment (CPE) is connected over broadband IP either directly (in the case of IP-phones or soft clients) or indirectly through gateways as in the case of legacy equipment such as analogue phones or ISDN equipment. The integration with OSS/BSS (Operations Support System and Business Support System) is realised seamlessly via a comprehensive set of provisioning tools (REST) and call control (CSTA) API.
Each system is delivered with the Aarenet multi layer defence protection to protect the system and to prevent the system to be accessed by unauthorized users.
Aarenet Carrier System supports Class 4, Class 5 and Cloud PBX functionality. The modular and feature rich design allows an optimal adaptation to customer requirements. Fully redundant and very robust carrier grade systems for SIP clients include an active-active architecture to scale up and to support a large number of clients and contemporary calls. The architecture is prepared and compliant to operate in a geo-redundant system setup.
An Aarenet Class 4 System is a powerful, flexible, reliable and robust solution whose primary role is to manage voice transit traffic, deliver carrier interconnection services and grant PSTN access to serve end-customer and end-user application via Class 5 and Cloud PBX Systems.
Aarenet Class 4 Systems offer high-level routing capabilities and SIP messages manipulations as well as a powerful configuration API for dynamic call routing (LCR).
Multiple PSTN Interconnections can be realised by configuring direct SIP gateways or via 3rd party SS7/TDM gateways towards the PSTN. Interconnection and call flow optimisation is handled by features like priority routing, percentage routing, LNP routing, SIP header routing, LCR, fallback routing and others.
Active fraud protection, whitelist/blacklist, traffic shaping and customised peer authentication delivers a high-level of security for Class 4 services.
An Aarenet Class 4 System is equipped with embedded SBC functionality, such as topology hiding, SIP header manipulation, QoS, load sharing and codec transcoding. The system can route media directly in-between the interconnection carrier peers, minimizing the required resources. Alternatively, it can automatically terminate RTP traffic. Through the native codec transcoding functionality, the system supports the majority of contemporary needed VoIP codecs (g711, g722, g723, g726, g729, iLBC, Opus, GMS, T.38, etc) and makes VoIP network normalisation and interoperability effortless and straightforward.
Thanks to its modular architecture, the Aarenet Class 4 System can scale up from a few hundred to several tens of thousands of concurrent calls, sustaining the growth of customer with unchallenging deployment and swift execution.
